Privacy Policy — Mindful Immersions
Last updated: 22 October 2026
Who we are
Mindful Immersions organises contemplative walking journeys in the Moroccan desert. It is run by Joanna Riquett. Contact: mindfulimmersions@gmail.com
What we collect
When you fill in one of our forms (on our website, Instagram or Facebook), we collect your name, email address and any answers you choose to give, such as which journey interests you. If you register for a journey, we also collect the details needed to organise it (for example dietary needs, emergency contact and travel dates).
Why we collect it
– To send you the information you asked for, such as a journey itinerary.
– To answer your questions and, if you register, to organise your journey.
– To send you occasional news about our journeys and The Desert Letter, only if you agree. You can unsubscribe at any time with one click or by writing to us.
Legal basis
We process your data on the basis of your consent and, when you register for a journey, to fulfil our agreement with you.
Who we share it with
We never sell your data. We use trusted services to run our work: Meta (Instagram and Facebook lead forms), Google (secure storage of contact lists), our website and email platform, and our local partner in Morocco, only for participants who register. Some of these services may store data outside the European Union, with appropriate safeguards.
How long we keep it
Contact details are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Participant information is kept for as long as needed to organise the journey and meet legal obligations.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, download or delete your data, or withdraw your consent at any time, by writing to mindfulimmersions@gmail.com. If you are in the EU or UK, you may also contact your local data protection authority.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version.
